Food Literacy

The purpose of this course was to bridge the gap between socioeconomic status and healthy eating. By this it will be the intent to empower youth in how to make good choices about food, and most of all, how to be more resourceful, knowledgeable, and skilled in the procurement and preparation of food.

Local, organic, sustainable, car-free, nutritious, and ethical are all buzzwords today in relation to food, community, and health. This course followed each of these values as closely as possible.
